Our verdict
Judged purely as a trading venue, Binance is very hard to beat. The spot ladder starts at 0.1000% on both sides and drops to 0.0750% for the price of holding some BNB; the futures ladder starts at 0.0200% maker and 0.0500% taker; the books are the deepest in crypto, so slippage on a large market order is smaller here than anywhere else; and the API is so widely supported that most third-party trading software targets it before any other exchange. Binance Academy alone would justify an account if accounts were the point. But the accuracy that matters for a European reader is uncomfortable: as of 1 July 2026 you cannot open one. Binance withdrew its MiCA application in Greece a week before the transitional deadline after signals that the regulator would refuse it, and then suspended new sign-ups, new spot orders, deposits, Earn and staking across the EEA. Withdrawals and Convert still work and Binance says it will apply elsewhere, but it has named neither a country nor a date. Behind that sits the deeper problem. This is a company that pleaded guilty to Bank Secrecy Act, unlicensed money transmission and sanctions offences, paid more than USD 4.3 billion, accepted a five-year monitorship, was forced out of the United States, was fined in the Netherlands, and left Canada. The Abu Dhabi and Dubai licences granted since are real and substantial, and the SEC dropped its civil case in May 2025 — but a supervisory history like this is exactly what regulatory quality is supposed to measure. If you sit outside the EEA and you are trading actively at scale, Binance's economics are unmatched. If you are a German, Austrian or Swiss investor buying and holding, the correct comparison is Kraken or Bitpanda, and it is not close.
Best for
- High-volume active traders
- Crypto derivatives and perpetuals traders
- API and algorithmic traders
- Cost-sensitive spot traders outside the EEA
- Traders who need altcoin depth
Less suitable for
- Residents of the EU and EEA
- Investors who prioritise regulatory quality
- Anyone wanting compensation-scheme cover
- Users who need phone support
Pros & cons
Pros
7- Spot pricing of 0.1000% maker and taker at VIP 0, dropping to 0.0750% on both sides when fees are settled in BNB — among the cheapest entry rates of any major venue
- Futures from 0.0200% maker and 0.0500% taker, with up to 10% off in BNB and a ladder that reaches 0.0000% maker at the top tier
- The deepest order books in crypto: roughly 500 listed assets and more than 1,500 trading pairs, which translates directly into lower slippage on size
- REST, WebSocket and FIX APIs with a public futures testnet — the reference implementation most third-party crypto trading software is written against first
- Binance Academy is the best free crypto education library published by any exchange, and Binance Research produces genuine sell-side quality market work
- Full FSRA authorisation in Abu Dhabi Global Market since January 2026 across exchange, clearing, custody and brokerage entities, plus a full VARA licence in Dubai and a JFSA registration in Japan
- A mobile app that consistently ranks among the highest-rated finance apps on both stores, with a Lite mode for beginners and near-complete Pro functionality
Cons
6- No MiCA authorisation. Since 1 July 2026 residents of the EEA cannot sign up, place new spot orders, deposit funds or use Earn and staking — only withdrawals and Convert remain open, and Binance has named neither a replacement jurisdiction nor a date
- The 2023 US resolution was a criminal one: guilty pleas to Bank Secrecy Act, unlicensed money transmitting and sanctions offences, more than USD 4.3 billion in penalties, a five-year FinCEN monitorship and a forced exit from the United States
- Binance Holdings Ltd. is private, publishes no audited financial statements, and as of 2026 still has no declared global headquarters — the group's own chief executive says the location is undecided
- Crypto assets held at Binance are covered by no deposit guarantee and no investor compensation scheme; the SAFU insurance fund is a discretionary company reserve, not a statutory protection
- Customer support is chat and ticket only with no published retail phone line, and slow handling of account restrictions is the single most common complaint against the platform
- The product surface is overwhelming — spot, margin, futures, options, Earn, Launchpool, Convert, Copy Trading, Card, NFT and more, each with its own risk profile and its own fee logic

| Trading costs | ||
| Stocks (per order) | 0.1 % | Direct Equities covers US shares: a 0.10% trading spread on orders from USD 340, and a flat USD 0.35 platform fee per order below that threshold. Promotional rates of 0.05% and USD 0.17 apply until 30 September 2026, 23:59 UTC; after that the standard 0.10% and USD 0.35 apply. Fractional trading is supported for selected stocks only, and orders can be placed by value as well as by number of shares. There is no account fee, no inactivity fee and no custody fee, and no minimum balance. Moving shares out costs USD 150.00 per security per submission (outgoing DTC transfer), and ACATS transfers are not supported. Taking part in a voluntary corporate action such as a tender offer costs USD 200.00 per election; mandatory corporate actions such as splits and mergers cost nothing. Orders are executed by Nest Exchange Limited and cleared by Alpaca Securities LLC. The Binance Stock Tokens of 2021, synthetic exposure to a handful of US listings, were a different product and were discontinued that year under regulatory pressure. |
| US stocks | n/a | Not recorded in our dataset. |
| ETFs | 0.1 % | US-listed ETFs trade on the same Direct Equities schedule as shares: a 0.10% trading spread on orders from USD 340, USD 0.35 per order below that, promotional rates of 0.05% and USD 0.17 until 30 September 2026, 23:59 UTC, and no account, inactivity or custody fee and no minimum balance. Moving holdings out costs USD 150.00 per security per submission (outgoing DTC transfer; ACATS is not supported), and a voluntary corporate action election costs USD 200.00. Execution by Nest Exchange Limited, clearing by Alpaca Securities LLC. The products Binance labels Leveraged Tokens are a separate matter: crypto derivatives with daily rebalancing, not fund units. |
| Options (per contract) | tiered | Binance Options are European-style contracts on a small set of majors, priced from a separate published schedule with maker and taker rates expressed against the index price and a cap relative to the option premium. Because the schedule is quoted in a different unit from the spot and futures ladders, no single headline figure is recorded here. |
| Futures (per contract) | tiered | USDS-M and COIN-M perpetual and quarterly futures start at 0.0200% maker and 0.0500% taker at the regular tier, with up to 10% off when fees are paid in BNB. The ladder runs through nine VIP levels and reaches 0.0000% maker and 0.0170% taker at VIP 9, which requires roughly USD 25 billion of 30-day futures volume plus a substantial BNB balance. Recorded amount is the regular-tier taker rate as a percentage of notional. Futures are not available to residents of the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland or the United Kingdom. |

| Crypto | tiered | Spot at VIP 0 is 0.1000% maker and 0.1000% taker, falling to 0.0750% on both sides when trading fees are paid in BNB (a 25% discount). USDC pairs are quoted at 0.0950% before the BNB discount. VIP tiers require a 30-day volume and a BNB balance together, not either one: VIP 1 needs at least USD 1,000,000 of 30-day volume and at least 5 BNB and pays 0.0900% maker and 0.1000% taker; VIP 3 needs at least USD 20,000,000 and 100 BNB for 0.0400% and 0.0600%; VIP 9 needs at least USD 4,000,000,000 and 5,500 BNB for 0.0110% and 0.0230%. The 25 BNB threshold belongs to VIP 2. Recorded amount is the VIP 0 taker rate before the BNB discount. |

Investor protectionNone — no investor compensation scheme covers crypto assets held at Binance
In January 2026 Binance began operating regulated exchange, clearing, custody and brokerage activity out of Abu Dhabi Global Market under three FSRA-authorised entities. This is the most substantial licence stack the group has ever held and it is genuinely meaningful — but it creates no compensation fund. If Binance failed, there is no scheme that would make you whole.

Recorded regulatory actions
2021 · FCA
The FCA issued a First Supervisory Notice against Binance Markets Limited on 25 June 2021: the company was barred from carrying on any regulated activity in the UK without the FCA's prior written consent, required to display that fact prominently on binance.com, to stop advertising and financial promotions, and to preserve and hand over all records relating to UK customers. No fine was imposed - this was a supervisory intervention, and the record until now referred to it only obliquely as 'the FCA's intervention'.
2023 · US DOJ / FinCEN / OFAC / CFTCUS$4,300,000,000
Binance Holdings Ltd. pleaded guilty to conspiring to violate the Bank Secrecy Act, operating an unlicensed money transmitting business and violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and agreed to pay more than USD 4.3 billion. Founder Changpeng Zhao resigned as CEO, pleaded guilty to a Bank Secrecy Act offence and paid a USD 50 million fine. FinCEN imposed a five-year independent monitorship and required Binance's complete exit from the United States. Zhao was pardoned by the US President in October 2025; the corporate resolution and its compliance obligations stand.
2022 · DNB (De Nederlandsche Bank)
The Dutch central bank fined Binance roughly EUR 3.3 million for providing crypto services in the Netherlands without the required registration. Binance subsequently withdrew from the Dutch market entirely in July 2023, and exited Canada in May 2023 after provincial securities regulators tightened their requirements.
2026 · MiCA / HCMC (Hellenic Capital Market Commission)
Binance withdrew its MiCA authorisation application in Greece on 24 June 2026, six days before the transitional deadline, after reports that the Greek regulator was preparing to reject it over anti-money-laundering and fit-and-proper concerns linked to the founder. From 1 July 2026 Binance suspended new sign-ups, new spot orders, deposits, Earn and staking for residents of the EEA. Withdrawals and the Convert function remain open and Binance states that customer assets stay accessible; the company says it intends to apply for authorisation in another member state but has named neither a country nor a date.
Regulation and investor compensation reduce risk, they do not remove it. No broker is guaranteed safe.

Fees: what Binance actually costs
Binance built its market share on price, and the headline numbers still hold up.
Spot at VIP 0 is 0.1000% maker and 0.1000% taker. Pay the fee in BNB and a standing 25% discount takes both sides to 0.0750%. USDC pairs are quoted at 0.0950% before that discount. The ladder then runs through nine VIP tiers, and each step needs a 30-day volume and a BNB balance rather than either one: VIP 1 at USD 1,000,000 of volume and 5 BNB pays 0.0900% and 0.1000%; VIP 3 at USD 20,000,000 and 100 BNB pays 0.0400% and 0.0600%; VIP 9 at USD 4,000,000,000 and 5,500 BNB pays 0.0110% and 0.0230%. The 25 BNB figure often quoted for VIP 1 is in fact the VIP 2 threshold. Against Kraken's entry tier of 0.40% maker and 0.80% taker, or Bitstamp's 0.30% and 0.40%, the entry rate is a different order of magnitude — but the VIP ladder is far harder to climb than the volume figures alone suggest.
Futures start at 0.0200% maker and 0.0500% taker on both USDS-M and COIN-M contracts, with up to 10% off in BNB, reaching 0.0000% maker and 0.0170% taker at VIP 9.
Direct Equities, the US share and ETF service, is priced separately from everything above: a 0.10% trading spread on orders from USD 340, and a flat USD 0.35 per order below that threshold — so the flat fee is the more expensive of the two on small tickets — USD 0.35 on a USD 100 order is 0.35% — and the 0.10% rate applies from USD 340 up. Promotional rates of 0.05% and USD 0.17 run until 30 September 2026, 23:59 UTC; after that the standard 0.10% and USD 0.35 apply. Fractional trading is supported for selected stocks only. There is no account fee, no inactivity fee, no custody fee and no minimum balance, but leaving is not free: moving shares out by outgoing DTC transfer costs USD 150.00 per security per submission, and ACATS transfers are not supported. Taking part in a voluntary corporate action such as a tender offer costs USD 200.00 per election; mandatory ones such as splits and mergers cost nothing. Orders are executed by Nest Exchange Limited and cleared by Alpaca Securities LLC, which is the pair of names to check before you decide how you feel about the arrangement.
The costs that are less visible are where Binance is ordinary rather than exceptional. Convert shows no commission because the fee lives inside the quoted rate — for anything above a small amount, routing the same trade through the spot order book is meaningfully cheaper. Crypto withdrawal fees are set by Binance per asset rather than passed through at cost, and on some networks they have run above the underlying chain fee. Card deposits cost roughly 1.8% to 2%, and Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal about 2%; only bank transfer is cheap. Margin interest is published per coin and per VIP tier but accrues hourly, which adds up faster than the quoted rate suggests.
There is no inactivity fee, no custody fee and no minimum deposit beyond per-asset network minimums.
Safety, regulation and the European lockout
This is the section that decides whether Binance belongs in your portfolio, and for European readers the answer as of August 2026 is that the decision has been made for you.
The MiCA failure. The EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets transitional period ended on 30 June 2026. Binance had staked its European future on an application filed in January 2026 with Greece's Hellenic Capital Market Commission through a new subsidiary. On 24 June 2026 — six days before the deadline — Binance withdrew that application, after reports that the regulator was preparing to reject it over anti-money-laundering deficiencies and fit-and-proper concerns tied to founder Changpeng Zhao. From 1 July 2026 Binance suspended new registrations, new spot orders, deposits, Earn and staking for EEA residents. Withdrawals and the Convert function remain open, and Binance states that customer assets remain safe and accessible. The company says it will seek authorisation in another member state; it has named neither the state nor a date.
The criminal record. In November 2023 Binance Holdings Ltd. pleaded guilty to conspiring to violate the Bank Secrecy Act, to operating an unlicensed money transmitting business and to violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and agreed to pay more than USD 4.3 billion. Changpeng Zhao resigned as chief executive, pleaded guilty personally and paid a USD 50 million fine. FinCEN imposed a five-year independent monitorship and required Binance's complete exit from the United States. Zhao received a presidential pardon in October 2025; the corporate resolution and its obligations stand. Separately, the Dutch central bank fined Binance roughly EUR 3.3 million in 2022 for unregistered activity, Binance left the Netherlands in July 2023 and Canada in May 2023, and the SEC's civil case was dismissed with prejudice in May 2025.
What is actually in place. Since January 2026 Binance has operated regulated exchange, clearing, custody and brokerage activity out of Abu Dhabi Global Market through three FSRA-authorised entities — a recognised investment exchange for derivatives, a recognised clearing house with custody and CSD permissions, and an authorised dealing and arranging firm. Binance FZE holds a full VARA licence in Dubai, and Binance Japan Inc. is JFSA-registered (Kanto Local Finance Bureau No. 00031). Client assets are held one-to-one and verified through periodic zk-SNARK Proof of Reserves, and the SAFU emergency fund exists to absorb losses from security incidents.
Two things SAFU is not: it is not insurance, and it is not a compensation scheme. It is a discretionary company reserve. Nothing at Binance is covered by a deposit guarantee or an investor compensation fund, and Binance publishes no audited financial statements. As of 2026 the group still has no declared global headquarters.
Trading platforms and tooling
Where the compliance record is the weakest part of the case, the technology is the strongest.
The web terminal puts spot, cross and isolated margin, USDS-M and COIN-M futures, options, Earn, Convert, Copy Trading and the Launchpool under one login. The order-book view is dense and quick, with the full order-type set, depth and TradingView-grade charting, position and margin views, and a live fee-tier readout. A native desktop client for Windows and macOS mirrors it for traders who want a persistent workspace.
The API is the reason Binance is hard to leave. REST, WebSocket and FIX endpoints cover spot, margin, futures and options, with published rate limits, a full futures testnet and stable versioning. Practically every third-party crypto trading tool, bot framework and portfolio tracker supports Binance first and adds other venues later. If you run automated strategies, the ecosystem advantage is real and it compounds.
The mobile app ranks among the highest-rated finance apps on both stores. It ships a Lite mode that reduces the interface to buy, sell and portfolio, and a Pro mode that carries almost the whole desktop feature set — futures, margin, copy trading, Earn and Convert included. The gap between what you can do on the phone and what you can do on the desktop is smaller here than at any traditional broker.
Copy Trading is an in-house marketplace rather than a bolt-on: lead traders publish verified performance histories on spot and futures, followers allocate capital, and the lead takes a share of profits. It is more transparent than most copy-trading products and still carries the structural problem all of them have — past performance in a leveraged crypto strategy is a poor predictor of anything.
The cost of all this is coherence. Binance ships more products than any competitor and retires them without much ceremony. Working out which of them your jurisdiction permits, which entity you are actually contracting with and what each one costs takes real effort.
Markets and products
Roughly 500 listed assets and more than 1,500 trading pairs make Binance the widest crypto venue in operation, and the depth behind those books is what genuinely separates it. For anything but the largest majors, the difference between executing a size order on Binance and executing it on a mid-tier exchange shows up directly in the fill price.
Around the spot book sits the broadest product stack in the industry:
- Cross and isolated margin on a long list of pairs, with per-coin hourly interest published by VIP tier
- USDS-M and COIN-M perpetual and quarterly futures, still advertising up to 125x on the largest pairs for qualifying accounts, with tiered maximum leverage that falls as position size grows
- Options — European-style contracts on a small set of majors, priced from a separate schedule quoted against the index price
- Earn, spanning flexible and locked savings, on-chain staking, dual investment and structured products, plus Launchpool and Megadrop for token distributions
- Convert, a quote-driven swap with no explicit commission and the cost inside the rate
- Copy Trading, the Binance Card in supported markets, Binance Pay, and an NFT venue
- Direct Equities, US shares and ETFs at a 0.10% spread from USD 340 per order or USD 0.35 below it, executed by Nest Exchange Limited and cleared by Alpaca Securities LLC
The equity leg is new and narrow, and it is worth being precise about what it is not. Direct Equities is a US-only service and it is not the Binance Stock Tokens experiment, which offered synthetic exposure to a handful of listings and was shut down in 2021 under regulatory pressure. There are still no bonds and no funds, no European or Asian listings, and no forex offering in the sense a traditional broker means it — fiat and stablecoin pairs are crypto markets, not an FX desk. Binance remains a crypto venue first, with a thin equity layer bolted on.
The jurisdictional footprint is the other constraint. Futures and derivatives are unavailable across the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. UK retail onboarding has been closed since the FCA's intervention. And since 1 July 2026 the entire EEA offering is limited to withdrawals and Convert.
Account opening, funding and country access
For anyone outside the EEA the process is genuinely fast: registration takes minutes, identity verification usually clears within a few hours, and there is no meaningful minimum deposit beyond per-asset network minimums and a small per-trade floor. Binance operates in more than 180 countries and localises into more than twenty languages.
Funding is broad. Crypto deposits are free. Fiat arrives through SEPA and SEPA Instant in euro, Faster Payments in sterling, and local rails in Turkey, Brazil, the UAE, Poland and elsewhere; cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal work too. Pricing follows the rail rather than the currency: bank transfer is the cheap route, with SEPA Instant running under a standing zero-fee campaign and standard SEPA historically carrying a EUR 1 flat fee, while cards cost roughly 1.8% to 2% and the wallet methods around 2%. Base currencies include USD, EUR, GBP, TRY, BRL, AED and PLN.
Crypto withdrawals are priced per asset by Binance rather than passed through at network cost. They are shown before confirmation, but they are not a fixed published schedule and on some chains they have exceeded the underlying fee. Withdrawals normally clear in minutes once security holds release, and Binance applies a 24 to 72 hour hold after certain security changes.
Country access is the real constraint, and it changes. As of August 2026 all 27 EU member states plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are suspended for new business. US residents cannot use binance.com at all — Binance.US is a separate company, BAM Trading Services Inc., with its own order book, its own listings and far thinner liquidity. Canada has been closed since May 2023 and the Netherlands since July 2023. UK retail onboarding is closed. Russia, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria are excluded outright. Before depositing anything, check Binance's own licences page for your country rather than any comparison table, including this one.
Research and education
This is Binance's most underrated asset and the one area where it beats every competitor without qualification.
Binance Academy is the best free crypto education library published by any exchange. It runs from what a blockchain is through to derivatives mechanics, market-making, tokenomics and on-chain analysis, in more than twenty languages, without a paywall and without the constant conversion prompts that disfigure most broker education. It is used as a reference by people who have never had a Binance account, which is the strongest possible signal about its quality. The Binance Learn and Earn programme layers small token rewards onto completed courses.
Binance Research publishes market structure work, sector reports, monthly market reviews and project deep-dives at a standard that stands comparison with traditional sell-side research. It is not neutral — an exchange publishing research on assets it lists never is — but the analysis is substantive rather than promotional, and the data work behind it is genuinely good.
On the platform itself you get full TradingView-grade charting, a live fee-tier readout, funding-rate and open-interest data on the derivatives side, and public market-data endpoints that a large part of the third-party crypto analytics industry is built on top of.
What is missing is the traditional broker layer: no analyst price targets, no equity-style coverage initiations, no independent third-party research subscriptions bundled into the account. And there is an obvious structural caveat — Binance earns fees on trading volume, and its education and research funnel readers toward trading. Read the Academy; treat the market calls the way you would treat any research published by a party with a position in the outcome.
Customer support
Support is Binance's weakest operational area and has been for years.
The published coverage is 24/7 live chat plus a ticket system, with a large multilingual help centre and localisation into more than twenty languages. There is no published retail telephone line — for a platform of this size, that is a deliberate design choice rather than an oversight, and it shapes everything downstream.
The routine path works acceptably. Simple questions about deposits, verification steps or how a product works get answered by the chatbot or a first-line agent reasonably quickly, and the help-centre articles are detailed and well maintained. Binance also runs an unusually good public status and system-announcement channel, so outages and maintenance windows are visible.
The problem is the non-routine path. Account restrictions are the single most common complaint against Binance in public reviews: an account is frozen pending a compliance review, the first-line agent cannot say why or when it will end, and escalation is opaque. Because the group's compliance obligations have tightened sharply since the 2023 resolution and the five-year monitorship that came with it, source-of-funds requests and document reviews are more frequent and less negotiable than they used to be. That is the correct direction for a firm with Binance's history, but the customer experience of it is poor and the communication during it is worse.
The product sprawl compounds this. A question that touches spot, Earn and the Card can cross three internal teams, and the entity you are contracting with differs by country. For a European reader in 2026 there is a blunter version of the same point: the support queue you would be joining is a wind-down queue.
Frequently asked questions
Not for trading. Binance withdrew its MiCA application in Greece on 24 June 2026 after signals that the regulator would reject it, and from 1 July 2026 it suspended new sign-ups, new spot orders, deposits, Earn and staking for residents of the EEA — all 27 EU states plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Withdrawals and the Convert function remain open, and Binance says customer assets stay safe and accessible. The company states it intends to seek authorisation in another member state but has named neither a country nor a date. If you hold a balance there, the realistic plan is an orderly exit to a MiCA-authorised venue rather than waiting.
On spot, dramatically cheaper at the entry tier. Binance charges 0.1000% maker and 0.1000% taker at VIP 0, falling to 0.0750% on both sides when you settle fees in BNB. Bitstamp's entry tier is 0.30% maker and 0.40% taker; Kraken's is 0.40% and 0.80%. On a EUR 10,000 taker order that is roughly EUR 7.50 at Binance against EUR 40 at Bitstamp and EUR 80 at Kraken. The picture narrows once you leave the order book: Convert hides its cost in the spread, card deposits run 1.8% to 2%, and Binance sets its own crypto withdrawal fees rather than passing through network cost.
In November 2023 Binance Holdings Ltd. pleaded guilty to conspiring to violate the Bank Secrecy Act, to operating an unlicensed money transmitting business and to violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and agreed to pay more than USD 4.3 billion. Founder Changpeng Zhao resigned as CEO, pleaded guilty personally and paid a USD 50 million fine. FinCEN imposed a five-year independent monitorship and required a complete exit from the United States. It still matters for two reasons: the monitorship runs into 2028, and the fit-and-proper concerns that European regulators raised in 2026 trace directly back to it. Zhao's presidential pardon in October 2025 was personal and does not undo the corporate resolution.
There is no deposit guarantee and no investor compensation scheme covering crypto assets held at Binance, in any jurisdiction where it operates. What exists instead is SAFU, the Secure Asset Fund for Users — a company-funded emergency reserve intended to cover losses from security incidents. SAFU is discretionary, not statutory: Binance decides when and whether it pays. Binance also publishes periodic zk-SNARK Proof of Reserves showing customer balances backed at least one-to-one. That demonstrates the assets exist at a point in time; it says nothing about the group's liabilities, and Binance publishes no audited financial statements.
Settling trading fees in BNB cuts spot fees by 25%, taking VIP 0 from 0.1000% to 0.0750% on both sides, and cuts futures fees by up to 10%. BNB holdings are not optional for VIP qualification either: every tier requires a 30-day volume and a minimum BNB balance together, starting at USD 1,000,000 and 5 BNB for VIP 1. The arithmetic is straightforward: on EUR 100,000 of annual spot volume the discount is worth about EUR 25. Against that you are taking exchange-token price risk on a balance you must maintain, and BNB is a volatile asset whose value is tied to the platform you are already exposed to. For heavy traders the discount usually wins; for someone buying a few hundred euros a month it is not a reason to hold the token.
They are separate companies. Binance.US is operated by BAM Trading Services Inc. under FinCEN registration and US state money transmitter licences, with its own order book, its own asset list and materially thinner liquidity than the global platform. US residents cannot use binance.com at all — the 2023 Department of Justice resolution required Binance's complete exit from the United States. Binance.US also does not serve every state, and its fee schedule, listings and product range differ from the ones described in this record.
